COVID-19 and Family Perspectives on Living with Dementia: A Panel Discussion on Understanding and Working Through the Challenges of Community Lockdown, While Staying Active, Connected and Safe (May 11, 2020) 

A webinar where guest speakers share their experiences of how COVID-19 has affected the family unit. Guest speakers will also share practical tips as well as some community resources available for supporting people living with dementia and their families either living in the same household or from a distance.

We will discuss the appropriate language and communication to use with people living with dementia, as well as the associated stigma. This discussion can inform interactions with people living with dementia during the current environment and beyond.

Creativity & Arts Programs for People Living with Dementia: Adapting During the COVID-19 Pandemic (July 20, 2020)

This webinar discussion will highlight creativity and arts programs for people living with dementia currently running and those in the planning process. The panel will also include a person with lived experience of dementia to share their experience of participating in creativity programs during COVID-19. Panelists will discuss creative programming, the value of such programming, as well as challenges and successes they are encountering.
